Cookie Policy
What a cookie is doing here
A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser so it can recognise the same visit twice. On this store, cookies keep a cart from emptying itself, hold the result of the age check so you are not asked again on every page, and count which pages are read. Without the first two, checkout would not function.
The categories we use
- Essential — cart contents, session, age verification and security. These cannot be refused, because the checkout will not hold together without them.
- Preference — remembers delivery details and notices you have already dismissed. These can be refused.
- Analytics — aggregate page counts and error reports, used to spot broken pages. These can be refused.
Refusing cookies
Non-essential cookies can be declined from the banner or changed later in the browser. Refusing analytics does not block an order; refusing essential cookies will break the cart, because the store cannot remember what you put in it. Most browsers also allow cookies to be deleted one by one or blocked per site, and a private window discards them when it closes.
How long they last
Session cookies disappear when the browser closes. Cart and age-check cookies last long enough to finish a purchase and no longer. Preference cookies last up to a year. Analytics cookies are kept in aggregate and are not used to build a profile of an individual shopper.
Third parties
A payment provider sets its own cookies on its hosted payment page, and a carrier may set one on a tracking page. Those cookies are governed by the provider’s own policy rather than this one. This store does not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and does not sell browsing data.
